For me, traveling is about truly immersing yourself in a new place and culture—embracing every detail, every moment, and every connection. This place, and Carlo, gave us exactly that.

He went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed, and even kindly arranged a taxi for us as we were leaving Florence. It’s the small gestures like that, paired with genuine kindness, that make an experience unforgettable.

We walked from the train station to Carlos place without issue. Yes it was tiresome & yes we were sweating, but if you are in good shape and packed relatively light- you can do it too. It’s about 1 mile walk from train station.

His recommendations were exceptional. We went to Acquacotta and Accadia for dinner and they were the best trattorias we went to on our honeymoon throughout Italy.

We also took his cooking class, which I highly recommend! He took us to an awesome market to get local, fresh ingredients, and then to his home to make ravioli, cacio e pepe, fried sage, and tiramisu. We also got to meet his dog Neera, who is just the sweetest and friendliest dog there is!

Casa pinti is a perfect central location in Florence, and also the cleanest and most meticulously prepared air bnb we have ever stayed in.

The neighbourhood is so quiet and residential while still feeling close to the city centre, you’re only minutes away from the Duomo 😉 The market nearby is super convenient, great for vintage and food shopping (antiques on Sunday). Would 100% recommend the home to any other travellers in Florence!
