This was my first time in Florence, and yet, I was able to navigate my way between train stations and all the popular attractions with no problem. Secondly, the apartment is extremely comfortable. It is exactly as the photos depict, and also squeaky clean. Finally, the reason this experience was so positive is because of the host, Carlo. He is extremely communicative and very responsive, from the moment of booking until departure. Carlo was on vacation himself, out of the country, during my stay, but he responded to every query instantly, even early in the morning or late at night. He also arranged a taxi for me to the airport for my very early morning departure flight. It was flawless! Carlo is the perfect host. I can't wait to return to Florence, and stay again!

He then recommended several restaurants around the area & they were great! He even offers an interactive map that gives you descriptions and directions. The house was nice & quiet to come back to after days of adventuring. All the sights are a walkable distance away. There is a TV, a hairdryer, and a washer machine (all pluses for me!!). Carlo also helped us call and schedule a taxi for the train station on our last day, which was nice since I had no luck with the taxi apps. Highly recommend!

He even came over on a moment’s notice when we inadvertently locked ourselves out and gave us a useful lesson in Italian lockware. The home itself is welcoming, warm, and immaculate and retains an old-world feeling appropriate to its setting close by to most of the essential sights in central Florence. The many steps up to the third floor are real but did not get in the way of our enjoyment of the place! And we ‘re not young chicks.
